Send to Hermes — Privacy Policy

This privacy policy applies to the Send to Hermes Chrome browser extension.

TL;DR

This extension does not collect, transmit, or share any of your data with its developer or any third party. All data stays on your device. The extension only communicates with your own Hermes AI server that you configure yourself.

Data Collection

We collect nothing. The extension does not use analytics, tracking, telemetry, or any third-party services.

Data Storage

All configuration data — your Hermes API endpoint URL(s), API key(s), language preference, and service list — is stored locally in your browser via chrome.storage.local. This data never leaves your device except when sent directly to the Hermes API server you have configured.

You can clear all stored data at any time by removing the extension from Chrome, or by deleting the values in the extension's popup settings.

Network Communication

The extension makes network requests in two scenarios only:

No data is ever sent to the extension developer or any third-party server.

Permissions

The extension requests the following Chrome permissions, each with a specific purpose:

Data Sharing

No data is sold, rented, shared, or disclosed to any third party. The extension developer does not operate any backend service and has no means to receive your data.

Changes to This Policy

If this privacy policy changes, the updated version will be published at the same URL. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance.
